Luany previews the Copa de la Reina semifinal between Atlético de Madrid and Tenerife.

The Brazilian team takes the field this Thursday against Tenerife for the first leg of the semi-final and highlights the team’s confidence in their quest for a place in the final.

Brazilian Luany returns to the field this Thursday (11), at 3 pm (Brasília time), to defend Atlético de Madrid in the Queen’s Cup semi-final against Tenerife. The duel marks the first leg of the decision for a place in the final of the competition, and the return leg is scheduled for Tuesday (17), at Tenerife’s home.

In pursuit of another final wearing the Atlético Madrid jersey, the Brazilian midfielder highlighted the importance of the match and the responsibility of a club the size of Atlético in competing in finals.

“We have this important chance to reach another final, and a club like Atlético always needs to be in finals, in big games. So it’s a great opportunity, and we’re going in confidently to pursue this goal. With patience, playing our game, we’ll try to get a good result at home,” the player stated.

Luany also commented on the recent FIFA international break with the Brazilian National Team, led by coach Arthur Elias. Despite the below-expected results in the friendlies, with defeats to Venezuela and Mexico, the athlete highlighted the team’s process of evolution.

“The FIFA international break was very important. Because of the results, which we know weren’t what we could have done, there’s an impression that it wasn’t positive, but coach Arthur and the staff have everything very clear and, with each call-up, we always improve,” he concluded.

The winner of the match between Atlético de Madrid and Tenerife will face the winner of the match between Barcelona and Levante UD in the final.
