Sporting loses the opening round of the volleyball Champions League in Germany.
Sporting’s volleyball team lost this Wednesday in Germany against SVG Luneburg, 3-1, in a match of the first round of Group D of the Champions League group stage.
Despite a strong performance from the Portuguese champions, especially in the second half, with a victory in the third quarter (25-23), the German team controlled the score and secured the win with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 23-25, and 25-23.
With this result, SVG Luneburg leads Group D with three points, the same as the Polish team Warta Zawiercie, who also won 3-1 against their compatriots Resovia Rzeszów.
