Rodrigo Conceição joins Tondela until 2027.

Portuguese footballer Rodrigo Conceição is returning to Portugal and will join Tondela, 100percentsurewins confirmed with a source close to the process.

The 25-year-old right-back has already undergone medical examinations and will sign a contract for one and a half seasons, until 2027, our newspaper has learned. The official announcement is imminent and everything should be finalized this Thursday.

Rodrigo Conceição had been without a club since the end of last season, 2024/25, after playing for Zurich in Switzerland for two seasons. With the Swiss club, he made 57 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

The son of coach Sérgio Conceição and brother of Francisco, Moisés, Sérgio and José, returns to Portugal two years after leaving FC Porto, where he played for the first team and the B team. He also played for Moreirense, after having spent a large part of his youth career at Benfica, where he went from the under-15s to the B team.

Bebeto and Tiago Manso have been the options on the right side of Tondela’s defense, and coach Cristiano Bacci now has another option for that position.

The Beira team, currently in 16th and second-to-last place (in the play-offs) with nine points, are preparing for their visit to Nacional, for the 14th round of the League (Saturday, 3:30 pm).
