FIFA The Best 2025: where to watch live, schedule and nominees
The winner of the best player in the world award will be announced by FIFA this Tuesday at 2 PM (Brasilia time). The FIFA The Best 2025 ceremony will be held in Doha, Qatar. There are 11 Brazilians in contention to be named to the team of the season. They are: goalkeepers Alisson (Liverpool), Fábio (Fluminense), Weverton (Palmeiras) and John (Botafogo); defenders Thiago Silva (Fluminense), Marquinhos (PSG), Gabriel Magalhães (Arsenal); and forwards João Pedro (Chelsea), Raphinha (Barcelona) and Luiz Henrique (Botafogo).
Seven coaches have been nominated for the best coach award, including Enzo Maresca, who won the Club World Cup with Chelsea, and Luis Enrique, who won the Champions League with PSG. In women’s football, there are five nominees, including Renée Slegers, manager of Arsenal, European champions.
More than 16 million fan votes influenced the selection of the winners in various categories, such as best female player of the year, best male player of the year, coaches, and goalkeepers.
The Best awards also take into account, in addition to the popular vote, nominations from national team captains, coaches, and journalists.
