During the month of November, Rui Borges was voted best coach.

Rui Borges beat Francesco Farioli and Carlos Vicens in the election for best coach of the month of November, promoted by the League of Clubs.

The Sporting coach received 25.4 percent of the votes from his fellow professionals, standing out ahead of the FC Porto coach (19.05 percent) and the Sp. Braga coach (17.46 percent).

In November, just for the championship, Sporting went to the Azores to beat Santa Clara (2-1) and then thrashed Estrela da Amadora, at Alvalade, by 4-0.
