Palmeiras rules out problem with Vitor Roque and updates injury list.
Palmeiras concluded this Monday morning (19), at the Football Academy, the preparation for the confrontation with Novorizontino, valid for the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista. After the activities, the club updated the physical situation of the players in the squad and ruled out injury to striker Vitor Roque, who was substituted during the victory over Mirassol
The number 9 player followed an individualized recovery schedule on the pitch, accompanied by members of the medical department. The rest of the squad performed activation activities inside the training center and then trained under the command of Abel Ferreira’s coaching staff.
On another field, a midfield quartet consisting of Lucas Evangelista, Andreas Pereira, Felipe Anderson, and Figueiredo conducted technical ball work in reduced dimensions with players from the youth academy.
The club, however, has not provided an update on the conditions of forwards Paulinho and Facundo Torres; the Uruguayan, in fact, has a deal in place with Austin FC of MLS and should leave Palmeiras in the coming days.
With the victory over Mirassol, Palmeiras maintained their 100% record in the current edition of the Campeonato Paulista after three matches. Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel has not yet been scored against. In their next match, Verdão will face Novorizontino this Tuesday (20), away from home.
As the away team, Palmeiras is undefeated in 11 matches against this opponent, with six wins and five draws since their last defeat in 1990.
